When you first drop into Arc Raiders, all the strange names and types of enemies can be a bit much. One thing that often throws new players off is spotting First Wave Husks. A lot of folks mix them up with the wreckage you see after smashing an Arc, but they’re not the same thing at all. These husks are basically the older, clunkier cousins of the slick machines you normally fight. They’ve got that worn, industrial vibe, as if they’ve been sitting in the dirt for decades. You’ll come across them pretty much anywhere in the game, and they show up in all sizes – from the tiny bug-like Wasps right up to the massive Barons. Once you know what you’re looking for, they’re easy to pick out. When Husk Graveyard is active, the number of First Wave Husks shoots right up – like the map’s been turned into a scrapyard. If you catch Husk Graveyard there, make for the Old Battleground landmark and you’ll see exactly what I’m talking about. You’ll be surrounded by different husks in every size. It’s the fastest way to bag trial progress and gear parts without the usual grind.



Scavenging here pays off big – Arc Powercells and Arc Alloy practically litter the place. These are gold for crafting better gear, especially if you’re gearing up for a tough topside fight. And while scooping up this stuff, you might get lucky and find Rocketeer Drivers. These are worth grabbing because they’re often needed to level up your base stations or help with long-term expeditions. It’s one of those sessions where you walk away feeling like you’ve stocked up for the next few raids.



That said, it’s not all easy. These husks can be nasty when you crack them open. A lot of them let off a small shock or burst of fire once breached, so don’t just stand there when looting. I’ve seen players lose a big chunk of health by ignoring that. Have enough stamina for a quick roll before you start. A simple dodge at the right time saves you from burning through medkits later.
